OTA LEADERSHIP INDEX

2 Chainz

ARCHETYPE

The Disruptor

Contrarian and drawn to the edge; challenges the settled answer.

2 Chainz reads as The Disruptor for turning the rupture inward. After three decades guarding his personal history, he bypassed music, his established medium, and processed his mother's addiction and his own childhood survival through cinematic art with Red Clay, material he says he had never shared in any interview. Full creative control paired with that public vulnerability marks a leader willing to break his own format to reach new ground.

IN THEIR WORDS, WHY DISRUPTOR

It took thirty years to do this, literally thirty years, ten albums, how many mixtapes, don't know how many interviews to put it in a short film, to not still not say it, just to like put it out there.

ON RELEASING RED CLAY PUBLICLY

My hope is that it ultimately opens up somebody's ability to express maybe some trauma. I think a lot of us have been through childhood stuff that we may have somewhat normalized because it was going on in our four walls.

ON THE FILM'S INTENDED IMPACT

My legacy would be about truly truly being yourself and then that leading to everything else. I've been on some like I don't know, I'm just happy I'm me.
