OTA LEADERSHIP INDEX · METHODOLOGY

How we read a leader.

Every profile in the terminal carries an archetype. This page explains where that archetype comes from, what it does and does not claim, and how we handle the words of people who have not sat the Index themselves.

Six dimensions

The Leadership Index measures a leader across six dimensions. The top two, in combination, select one of fifteen archetypes.

STRATEGIC VISION

The ability to see the shape of the future before it arrives and to set a direction against it.

INFLUENCE ARCHITECTURE

How a leader builds and moves coalitions, and how their authority compounds across a network.

DECISION INTELLIGENCE

The quality and cadence of judgment under uncertainty, and how evidence is weighed against instinct.

ADAPTIVE RESILIENCE

How a leader absorbs shock, metabolises failure, and holds a course through volatility.

OPERATIONAL GRAVITY

The capacity to convert intent into execution, and to hold an organisation to a standard.

INNOVATION CATALYSIS

How a leader creates the conditions for new value, and whether they expand or defend the frontier.

How a read is made

For leaders who take the Index directly, the archetype is computed from their own responses. For public figures in the terminal who have not, the read is an OTA analyst assessment drawn from the primary record: long-form interviews and a leader's own documented words. Each profile carries the specific quotes that evidence the archetype, attributed and linked back to the source, so the read can be checked against the material it came from. It is analysis, not a quote from the subject, and it is offered as an informed editorial judgment.

What is held

We publish the archetype. We hold the numeric six-dimension score. A third party's full profile is only surfaced once they have validated it, so no one is assigned a public number against their name without a right of reply. The archetype is the shape of a leader; the score is the measurement, and the measurement waits for the leader.

Rights

Quotes are short, attributed, and carry a link to the original source. We never republish a full transcript or host third-party recordings. The archetype and the analysis around it are OTA Media's own editorial work.
