Omari Hardwick

ARCHETYPE

The Architect

Structured and legacy-driven; builds the systems and institutions that last.

Omari Hardwick reads as The Architect because his choices carry structural intent. Framing Ghost as a Saul-to-Paul biblical archetype was design work, a character engineered to bear theological weight across five seasons of Power. Off screen the pattern holds, a spoken-word platform built to give young poets a stage, and a stated mission to make the world small by connecting pre-teens to great-grandparents. Hardwick leads by constructing frameworks others inhabit.

IN THEIR WORDS, WHY ARCHITECT

I just thought the goal in life for me is make the world as small as you can. That's what Muhammad Ali did — he made the world small.

ON HIS PHILOSOPHY AS AN ARTIST

I made the dude of biblical character. Saul is very symbolic in any kind of template of religious belief. I always thought the show needed to end if he ever became Paul.

EXPLAINING GHOST'S NARRATIVE ARC

Empty the bag before you go up to the pearly gates and God goes, what did you do with it? I gave you a lot of shit in there. Get it all out — but while doing so, give permission to other people to get it all out.
