OTA LEADERSHIP INDEX

Jeff Poggi

ARCHETYPE

The Reformer

Changing the system from inside it, principle turned into change.

Jeff Poggi reads as The Reformer because he treats McIntosh's manufacturing depth, the transformer winding, the metal bending, the paint lines, as active competitive infrastructure rather than nostalgia. His command of Binghamton's seven-decade vertical integration is systems-oriented and disciplined, sustaining value through process rigour and institutional memory. Where others would modernise by outsourcing, Poggi redesigns from within, sharpening the inherited architecture rather than abandoning it, which is reform in its most exacting sense.

IN THEIR WORDS, WHY REFORMER

The engineering process and the manufacturing process all take place in Binghamton, New York, at our manufacturing and engineering center that's been there for close to seventy years, and the engineering and manufacturing teams are working very closely together.

DESCRIBING VERTICALLY INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING

We wind our own transformers in our own factory, bend our own metal, have our own paint line, our own screen printing area, our own printed circuit board manufacturing area.

EXPLAINING HANDS-ON PRODUCTION CONTROL

Our business is less about competing with other audio file firms and it's more about growing the entire industry. Building collaboration amongst companies together to build the industry is something that's really important to me today.
