Elon Musk reads as The Disruptor because he treats settled orthodoxy as raw material. At SpaceX he challenged government-dominated aerospace by developing reusable rockets, rewriting the economics of space access. At Tesla he accelerated electric vehicle adoption by approaching automotive manufacturing as a software and energy problem. His acquisition of Twitter, rebranded as X, was framed explicitly as a structural dismantling of existing content moderation and business norms. Every domain he enters, he destabilises first.
