OTA LEADERSHIP INDEX

Easy Otabor

ARCHETYPE

The Steward

Legacy, values and the long now, leadership as care and continuity.

Easy Otabor reads as The Steward, treating sneaker history, design heritage, and community memory as resources to preserve and transmit rather than raw material to exploit. His Air Jordan 17 collaboration was built on archival reverence, white gloves, OG construction, and Easter eggs honouring Don C and Virgil Abloh, while Infinite Archives itself exists to fight historical amnesia in streetwear. Otabor leads not through disruption but through deliberate custodianship of what came before.

IN THEIR WORDS, WHY STEWARD

I want to pay homage to you guys and all the people that made this shoe what it was — I wanted to tell all these different stories so everyone that could relate could see themselves in it.

EXPLAINING AIR JORDAN 17 DESIGN INTENT

I was frustrated with people just wearing things and not knowing what it is. Instead of complaining, I was like, let me do something about it — inform people about the past and make product that makes sense.

ON FOUNDING INFINITE ARCHIVES

The whole thing was past, present, future — even for the next generation. I want to make things with purpose. I don't just want to make things just to make things.
