OTA LEADERSHIP INDEX

Dustin Poirier

ARCHETYPE

The Guardian

What holds, and what fails, under pressure, standards and accountability.

Dustin Poirier reads as The Guardian because beneath the elite fighting career sits a leader defined by protection and principle. Through The Good Fight Foundation, which he founded in Lafayette, Louisiana, he directs fight purses and public attention toward community welfare in a region mainstream philanthropy often overlooks. His moral code holds inside and outside the octagon, and the trust he commands flows from commitments that are consistent rather than performative.

IN THEIR WORDS, WHY GUARDIAN

I'm using the platform I built through hard work to benefit as many people as I can. Fighting was going to benefit me and my family every time I walked to the ring. So why couldn't I stack more on my back and go in with a cause.

EXPLAINING GOOD FIGHT FOUNDATION PURPOSE

I started investing when I was 23 years old. Before I was even making real money, I was investing what little I had. I always planted seeds because I knew I couldn't fight forever.

ON LONG-TERM FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP

I'm not going to be like my father or make another mistake like I made in the airport. It's just not helping me in any way. So I got to cut it out — cut it out from my life.
