Carlos Arroyo is The Navigator because his entire career unfolded in hostile terrain. Undrafted, waived, traded mid-season, playing undiscovered from a small island, he charted his own course anyway, reading the systems of Sloan, Brown, and Riley and extracting growth from each. Tellingly, his proudest moments belong to the Puerto Rico national team, a platform he used to prove his worth back to NBA franchises. Arroyo treats every stop as a waypoint, never a destination.
