Bun B
The Guardian
What holds, and what fails, under pressure, standards and accountability.
Bun B reads as The Guardian because his deepest instincts run toward protection and preservation rather than expansion. After Pimp C's death he rebuilt his identity without abandoning the legacy entrusted to him, and after a home invasion he chose stewardship over retreat. He tends his marriage, his grandchildren, his brand, and relationships like Eve and Maxim's as genuine guardianship, not networking. He leads by holding things together, earning trust through principle.
“I don't want to die with game that I didn't give to nobody. I got to leave everything I've learned that's helped me or hurt me in life and get that information out of me to the world before I die.”
“Protection — there is no it's one hundred percent, all day, every day. I'm the one that's supposed to stand in front of the gun. That's the job I took.”
“I'm most proud of the other eighty five percent of my life that no one else sees, but the people that I love, and that they're proud of what I do when I'm off the clock.”
