1. In the app
The fastest way to permanently delete your account is from inside the Hello Li mobile app on iOS or Android.
Steps:
- Open Hello Li on your phone.
- Tap Me in the bottom tab bar.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
Once confirmed, deletion runs immediately on our servers. You will be signed out of all sessions across all devices and your account will no longer be accessible.
2. By email
If you no longer have access to the Hello Li app on your phone — for example because you have already uninstalled it or you signed up on a device you can no longer reach — you can request account deletion by email.

In your email, please include the email address you used to sign in. We may ask you to verify ownership of that address before processing the request, so use the same inbox where possible. Once we have verified your request, we will action the deletion within five working days.
3. What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following personal data is removed from our systems:
- Your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Your operator handle, profile photo, and any signed credentials.
- Your psychometric assessment responses and computed archetype.
- Your private conversations with Li (Black Box history).
- Your network connections, sent Send Li delegations, and signed introductions.
- Your Motion balance and ledger of earned/redeemed Motion.
- Any organisation memberships, team invitations, and subscription records.
The data above is permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request. Encrypted backups roll forward and overwrite within the same window, so no copy of your personal data persists beyond 30 days.
4. What we may retain
We may retain a small amount of information after deletion only where the law requires it or where it is necessary for legitimate business purposes that cannot be served otherwise.
Transaction records: if you subscribed to a paid plan, we retain the minimum payment record (transaction ID, amount, date) required by UK and EU tax law and Stripe's own retention policy. We do not retain your card number, bank details, or billing address — these were never stored in our systems.
Anonymised usage data: aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you is retained indefinitely. This data is not personal data once anonymised and is used only to improve the product.
Audit logs of the deletion itself: we keep a minimal record that an account was deleted, when, and by which method (in-app or email). This protects both you and us against disputed deletions.
5. Subscriptions and payments
If you have an active Hello Li Pro subscription (purchased on iOS or Android), deleting your account does not automatically cancel the subscription — subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google, not by us. Cancel the subscription separately:
- iOS: open the App Store, tap your profile, tap Subscriptions, and cancel Hello Li Pro.
- Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile, tap Payments & subscriptions, tap Subscriptions, and cancel Hello Li Pro.
Cancellations are not refunded retroactively but you will retain Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
